I am Mrs. Gusky and I teach 7th grade Texas History. I am very excited to have the chance to work with and get to know both you and your child throughout this school year.  

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a fairly new teacher. This is only my fourth year. I got into teaching later in life but it has always been my passion. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, but as your child can tell you, my heart belongs to the University of Florida Gators. I am originally from Florida and went to school there for a number of years before moving to Texas and transferring to UTSA.  

My teaching philosophy includes the belief that my students’ success begins with making them comfortable in the classroom. Therefore, I encourage students to share their questions and opinions in an unbiased and open environment. I strive to create a space for students to explore their own learning styles, then I'm there to help develop their interests and guide their absorption of the material.
