Lacy Lansford graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University in 1999.  While at SHSU, Ms. Lansford was Section Leader in the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, Drum Major of the Bearkat Marching Band, as well as a member of the Symphony Orchestra, Clarinet Choir and the Faculty Chamber Players.  She studied clarinet with Dr. Tamara Raatz, and under her tutelage was selected to perform on the SHSU Honors Recital.

Ms. Lansford began her band directing career at Driscoll Middle School in NEISD where she had the great fortune to work with Richard Gonzalez.  During her time at Driscoll, the Honors Band was named Texas Honor Band State Finalist three consecutive times.  Her Driscoll Symphonic Bands earned Sweepstakes honors at UIL Competition as did the Full Symphony Orchestra she shared with Melanie Sorgi.   Ms. Lansford left Driscoll in 2007 to become the Head Band Director at Kitty Hawk Middle School in 野花社区视频 ISD.

During her time at Kitty Hawk, Ms. Lansford has had the pleasure of coaching students to success in various capacities from Region Band and Orchestra, to YOSA (Youth Orchestra San Antonio) and Sweepstakes Awards at UIL Contest.

Ms. Lansford’s professional affiliations include Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, TMEA, TBA and Lifetime Membership in PTA.
