Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Koller

I am a Houston native and a graduate of the Sheperd School of Music at Rice University with a Degree in Music, Vocal Performance.

After singing professionally for many years and performing around the world, I settled in Laredo, TX where I received my certification in Music Education K-12, and began teaching elementary school in 2005.

I started teaching middle school in 2007 in Aldine ISD in Houston, and won teacher of the year for 2011-2012. I moved to Klein ISD in 2013.  My choirs on both campuses were very successful at UIL and Region Contests and my Klein choir was a Commended Winner in the Mark of Excellence/National Choral Honors Project by The Foundation for Music Education.  I have judged and was clinician for many choirs over the years.  This past year, the choirs each received a Sweepstakes (1st division on stage and in sight reading) at UIL Concert & Sight Reading as well as 1st Division, Outstanding Performance, Best in Class and Best in Festival for the American Classic, Kids in the Park Festival.

I am excited to be living in my favorite part of the state, and so very excited to be teaching at Kitty Hawk!

My favorite part of teaching is watching the faces of my students when they receive applause and feel proud of their performances.
