The 2023-24 school year at Kitty Hawk Middle School will be exciting and enriching for your 6th grade honors ELAR student! This will be my 9th year at Kitty Hawk teaching ELAR. I graduated from The University of Montana in Missoula, Montana, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology. I later attained my teaching certification through the Region 20 Education Service Center in San Antonio. Although I have an obvious interest in science, I am also an avid reader. I have enjoyed teaching students from a variety of academic backgrounds: general education, special education, and honors students.
This year we will sharpen reading comprehension skills, engage readers in literary analysis, and practice the writing process. I am looking forward to the new school year and I am looking forward to getting to know my students. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
