¡Hola! Bienvenidos a la clase de español. I look forward to being your Spanish teacher this school year.
About me:
I was born in Los Angeles, California, but I grew up in San Antonio, where I graduated from MacArthur High School. I moved to Houston after high school to study at the University of Houston. I received my Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Spanish from UH in 2015.
Shortly after graduating, I began my teaching career in the greater Houston area. I taught from 2015-2019 in charter schools across the Houston area. I moved back to San Antonio in 2019 to be closer to family, where I began my 5th year of teaching at Wagner High School. I am currently in my 9th year of teaching and 5th year at Wagner this year.
I have taught all levels of Spanish throughout my teaching career, including Spanish 1, 2, and 3, AP Spanish Language and Culture, and AP Spanish Literature and Culture. Currently, I teach Spanish 2, Spanish 2 honors, Spanish 4 - AP Spanish Language and Culture, and Spanish 5 - AP Spanish Literature and Culture.
I am excited about this school year and getting to meet you all.
