Hello and welcome to my Spanish 2 class!
My name is Sra. Matamoros, and I will be your teacher for the 2022-2023 school term. I am a graduate of the University of Texas A&M San Antonio where I earned a BA in History with a minor in Education, and a Master's in Educational Administration and Leadership. I am certified to teach Spanish grades K-12. I look forward to a wonderful year where we will study and learn Español, the language of almost 400 million people around the world and counting. It is the 4th most-spoken dialect in the world! This course will help you explore other cultures, communicate with Spanish speakers, and increase your career possibilities.
The Spanish 2 course, builds upon knowledge gained in Spanish 1. This course will reinforce the skills learned in Spanish 1, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing in the Spanish language. We will emphasize perfecting pronunciation, mastery of the basic grammatical structures, and increased communicative proficiency. I am excited to welcome all the students into my classroom and look forward to a fabulous learning experience.
