¡Hola! Bienvenidos a la clase de Señorita Selwyn. I am looking forward to an exciting and successful school year! This year I will be teaching Spanish III and Spanish III Honors.
About Me
I am a second language learner of the Spanish language. I grew up here in San Antonio, where I attended Incarnate Word High School and learned Spanish through excellent teachers. I continued studying Spanish in college at the University of Iowa, where I also majored in Theatre Arts. After college I returned to Texas, where I have been teaching Spanish ever since. This is my 16th year at Wagner, where I am also the LOTE Department chair and the Wagner Head Swim Team coach. I love sports and I am also the scorekeeper for volleyball, basketball and freshman and JV football. My favorite thing about teaching Spanish is encouraging students to acquire a second language the same way I did.
