Hello! My name is Natalie Olivares and I am the director of the JV orchestra and mariachi at 野花社区视频 High School.

A little about myself: I began playing the violin in the 5th grade at J.F. Kennedy Elementary in Mercedes, TX.  Through middle school and high school I was an active member of the orchestra and mariachi programs in Mercedes. I attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Brownsville where I was a member of the symphony orchestra, string ensemble, and mariachi. I graduated from UTRGV in 2016 with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I began teaching in the fall of 2016 at PSJA ISD, and the following year taught in Mercedes ISD. The 2023-2024 school year will be the start of my 8th year of teaching, and my first year teaching at 野花社区视频 High School.

Outside of the classroom you can find me performing in a musical at your local community theater, performing with Mariachi Margaritas, or browsing the aisles at Target. I look forward to making music at 野花社区视频 High School.
