Mr. Craig Rose

Welcome Rockets!!  Staff have been preparing for students all summer in anticipation of a great year!!

I am a second career educator now in my 12th year in Education.  My corporate experience in the engineering, finance, and environmental sectors has helped me to relate secondary education to meaningful careers.

I graduated from Lee High School and soon began work in manufacturing while attending San Antonio College.  I then matriculated to UTSA where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.  I continued in manufacturing until the plant closed and applied to graduate school at UTSA.  I was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Management a couple of years later, and during that time took a Project Manager job in the Water Resources Department at the San Antonio Water System (SAWS).  I immediately applied to the Graduate School in the College of Business at UTSA and was accepted.  Two years later, I was awarded a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Management of Technology.

After 5 years at the San Antonio Water System, I took a consulting job with Operational Technologies, an Environmental Engineering firm performing base closure work on Kelly AFB.  When I left OpTech I took a Resident Engineer position in Del Rio, TX, building a state-of-the-art water filtration plant with United Water Resources.

I then felt God's calling to serve in the classroom and enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program at Region 20.  Following a short assignment at South San High School, I was hired at 野花社区视频 High School, where I have been the last 10 years.  Three years ago, I was accepted into the doctoral program at Texas A&M at College Station in Education studies.  My research interests include; Building Resiliency in Response to Natural Disasters like Hurricane Harvey, and Unmanned Aerial Technology applications across state agencies.  I am presently a Doctoral Intern with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department in the Law Enforcement and Training & Management Divisions.

My family is my great joy!  I have three children and the best granddaughter anywhere!  She is a gifted dancer and seasoned horsewoman.  I also enjoy working with horses, pecan trees, and, most recently, beekeeping.  My other passions include sailing, mountain climbing (CO), flying, and cooking for friends and family.

My time at 野花社区视频 High School has been productive and edifying.  Below is a list of programs that I have developed:

-STEM Careers Exploration Program (yr. 10)

-JHS Prayer Breakfast/Card Program (yr. 8)
