Hello! My name is Ashley Martinez and I am so thrilled to be teaching Pre-K 4 this year! I began my educational experience as a paraprofessional in 2005. From that moment on, I knew teaching was exactly what I needed to do with my life! I graduated from the University of Texas Pan-American in August 2010 with a Bachelor of Art in English. I have lived in San Antonio for 8 years and have enjoyed living in this beautiful, diverse city. Over the course of my career, I have taught Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade. I love seeing the learning growth in our little ones and have a true passion for early childhood education. I began my career implementing a full-day, collaborative Pre-Kindergarten program in P.SJ.A ISD in the Rio Grande Valley. I trained with the Children's Learning Institute in Houston to implement their TSR (Texas School Ready) program and learned so much. I am incredibly blessed to be a part of Wortham Oaks Elementary! I co-sponsor our Wortham Oaks LEGO League Jr. Club and Yearbook Club. I look forward to having a wonderful 2023-2024 school year and seeing my little ones grow!
