Kelly Carreon
Welcome to ART!
I am Kelly Carreon, the art teacher at Wortham Oaks! Here is a little information about me! I started my teaching career by attending The University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary studies. After I graduated, my first teaching job was at Crestview Elementary, where I taught for 15 years. The first 8 years, I was the art teacher. After teaching art, I taught 2nd grade for 4 years and 3rd grade for 3 years. It was an amazing experience to teach at Crestview, a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School. Four years ago, I helped open Wortham Oaks Elementary. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years and 3rd grade for 1 year. Now I'm back to teaching Art! I am thrilled to be teaching Art again!
I have 2 married daughters, Kaitlyn and Haley! I have 2 dogs, Puppy (Jack Russell Terrier), and G (Yellow Lab). In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my husband, Danny. I also enjoy crafting, swimming, playing games,painting, listening to live music, and hanging out with my family and friends.
