Hello! I’m Julie McCullough and I am so happy to be your teacher!

We are going to have a great year! This is my third year teaching second grade. Originally from Ohio, my family moved to San Antonio in March of 2020. I graduated from Findlay High School in 2005 and earned my bachelor’s degree in music education from Bluffton University in 2009.

I first worked for Continental Local Schools as the band and choir director for grades 6-12. While there, I led the pep band, marching band, and directed the high school musicals. In 2014, I started teaching at Liberty-Benton Local Schools as the general music teacher, grades 6-8. I also became the assistant choir director for grades 9-12 and co-directed the musicals. It was so hard to leave my LB family in 2020!

After moving to Texas, I became certified in EC-6 and feel so blessed to be a part of this incredible 2nd grade team. I have a wonderful husband, Sam, and two amazing children, Charlotte and William. I love to read, watch movies, and adventure outdoors with my family. I look forward to getting to know y’all this year!
