Ms. Kirby - 6th Grade RLA Teacher

Welcome!

Welcome Everyone! This will be my 21st year teaching RLA.

I am a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Brownsville, Texas in 1982. I attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas and transferred to The University of Texas in Brownsville, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English. I taught four years for BISD in Brownsville, Texas - teaching high school English in the 9th-12 grades. I then transferred to SBISD in Houston, Texas - teaching high school English in the 9th-12 grade for four years! 

After taking time off to raise my family, I then came back to my love of teaching where I taught 7th and 8th grade English for five and a half years for St. Matthew Catholic School and St. Peter Prince of the Apostle teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade English.

This year, I will celebrate my 9th wonderful year of teaching in the 野花社区视频 District at the awesome school, Woodlake Hills Middle School.

I love what I do - teaching the skills students need to continue on to a higher level and giving some enlightening information about life and circumstances. It is a joy and pleasure to watch middle schoolers learn and grow. The end process is a wonderful experience.
