Hi my name is Ms. Jones Hinds,

I have taught ESL (English as a second language) for 9 years, 6 years in Texas, however,  this year I will be moving to Reading Language Arts in 8th grade. I am from a military background and understand the diversity and social culture of our students.  I currently hold a Master's Degree in Education, and certification in P-12 ESL; 4-8 RLA  and want to continue my education as an Ed.D  in curriculum and instruction with a concentration on ESL student curriculum. I think what makes an effective teacher is having a compassionate and mentoring relationship with the students, and what makes an effective classroom is not just my students learning from me, but also me learning from them. I am excited to learn and grow with our students!
