Dear Kindergarten Families,

Hello and welcome! I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. I would like to start off by introducing myself. My name is Mrs. Monique Moore. Although I grew up in California, our family made Texas home when we were first stationed here several years ago. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, swim, read and do arts and crafts. I am a lifelong learner! I worked on my education while following my husband with his Air Force career. I am a proud graduate of Wayland Baptist University in Anchorage, Alaska and San Antonio, Texas. I have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Education with a major in Human Services and a minor in Psychology.  I also have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and hold a Texas Educator Certificate as well as ESL certification. 

I have an extensive background working with children as a teacher's assistant, substitute teacher and classroom teacher while my husband was on active duty. Upon his retirement, our family returned to the San Antonio area. We have three children; our daughter, her husband and two grand-beauties are stationed at Scott AFB, Illinois. Our son, his wife and three grandbabies are stationed at Hill AFB, Utah and our youngest son and his wife and little girl are stationed at Travis AFB, California. 

This is my third year at Elolf Elementary School and I am thankful to be part of such a great community teaching sensational Kindergarten students. I am confident that my life experience, my education, and my partnership with the Kindergarten teaching team will provide a high standard of education for your child. I certainly feel privileged to be a part of such a great community of students, teachers, administrators and families. I look forward to working with you and your child over the next several months.
