Mrs. Nancarrow

Hi there! My name is Jessa Nancarrow and this is my first year teaching fourth grade at Rolling Meadows!

My husband and I have 4 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 cats at home. I grew up in a tiny town in the mountains of Oregon. There were only 26 students in my graduating class! I was in for quite a shock when I headed off to college. I obtained my B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Cognitive Psychology. A fun fact about me is I was lucky enough to work for a small company called Electrical Geodesics, Inc. all 4 years, where I built, from scratch, EEG nets used in studies. That company is now located worldwide and my prototype nets have been used on everyone from babies to Buddhist monks!

I genuinely love children and believe every child has the right to a great education. I love witnessing the "A-ha!" moment when a lesson clicks for a student. I am passionate about equality and fairness and strive to make sure each child has what they need to succeed. I truly appreciate you trusting me with your kiddos and promise to do my best every day to teach, inspire, and instill a strong desire to learn and grow. Here's to an AMAZING year!
