Mrs. Cansler
Hello, my name is Allison Cansler. Students can call me Coach Cansler or Coach C. I am the PE teacher at Rolling Meadows Elementary. This is my seventh year at RME, and my 27th year in teaching. I am excited about sharing my passion for health, fitness, and sports with our students. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1994. I have taught all levels of students from elementary to high school in the classroom, in Physical Education, as well as coaching multiple sports.
I have two children, ages 23 and 20. My daughter graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in May 2021, and my son is a junior at Northeast Lakeview College. Both have been very active in sports throughout their lives. My daughter played softball and my son played football and basketball.
I have many new activities planned for the students as well as some of the favorites. In PE we do more than play games. We learn social skills, we learn about health and fitness, dance, competitive sports, and lifetime recreational sports and games. I am looking forward to a great year!
