Hi Ranger Families!

I am excited for the 2023-2024 school year at Salinas Elementary as one of the Response to Intervention (RtI) teachers.  This will be my 24th year in education and I've been at Salinas since it opened in 2007!  Prior to that, I taught in Edgewood ISD, Port Aransas ISD and at Olympia Elementary.  I have experience in kindergarten through fifth grade and also served as a RtI Facilitator. 

I have lived in the San Antonio area all my life and am mom to two exceptional boys!  In my free time, I love being outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I especially love watching sunsets in our big Texas sky!  

I graduated with honors from UTSA with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with an emphasis in reading. I also recently received my certification in special education.  I enjoy teaching and watching my students grow-not only academically but socially as well!  I also particularly enjoy building meaningful relationships with my students-I really, really love that part of my job!
