Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! This year will be filled with lots of hard work, fun, and progress. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and working with them in the RTI classroom in math and/or reading. 

This is my 16th year in education, and my 15th year at Salinas. I taught kindergarten for 6 years, and this year will mark 10 years as an RTI teacher for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education at New Mexico State University in 2006. After moving to San Antonio, I obtained a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UTSA in 2012.

I enjoy teaching students in the RTI (Response to Intervention) classroom because I love seeing their progress and growing confidence as they master skills and concepts. We build close relationships and work in a risk-free environment. I can't wait to get started on a great year!
