   Hello Eagles!  I am Mr. Stephen Burke and welcome 3rd grade!  This is my 12th year teaching and my 2nd year at Candlewood.  Last year, I taught 4th-grade Math and Science. I am certified to teach Early Childhood – 4th grade.  I received my teacher’s certificate from California State University – Northridge and have been certified to teach in both California and Texas.  My goal is to help my students to understand that knowledge that is learned within class has importance in their everyday lives.   

   When not at school, I enjoy traveling.  I incorporate lessons learned on the road into my curriculum.  I enjoy giving my students the ability to experience life outside the classroom.
