My Education and Professional Background

Mi formación y antecedentes profesionales

I am a native of Texas. I was born and raised in El Paso. I attended the University of Phoenix and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2006 with a Master of Education-Instructional Specialist degree. I have taught Pre-K 3 and 4, 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd grade. This will be my 19th year of teaching!

Soy originaria de Texas. Nací y crecí en El Paso. Asistí a la Universidad de Phoenix y gradué en 2003 con un título de Bachiller en Ciencias en Contabilidad y de la Universidad de Texas en El Paso en 2006 con un título de Maestría de Educación Especialista en Instrucción. He enseñado Pre-K 3 y 4, 1er, 2do, y 3er grado. ¡Este será mi año19 de enseñanza!

My Educational Philosophy

Mi filosofía educativa

My educational philosophy is continually evolving and changing as my own knowledge of teaching and learning continues to grow. I believe that all children can learn and that this begins with a partnership between teachers and parents who all have high expectations. Learning is hard work and sometimes it takes some bumps along the way to reach those end goals. I believe in a structured classroom environment with clear expectations for my students, but in the end, know that we WILL have a lot of FUN along the way.

Mi filosofía educativa evoluciona y cambia continuamente a medida que mi propio conocimiento sobre la enseñanza y el aprendizaje continúa creciendo. Creo que todos los niños pueden aprender y que esto comienza con una asociación entre maestros y padres que tienen altas expectativas. Aprender es un trabajo arduo y, a veces, se necesitan algunos obstáculos en el camino para alcanzar esos objetivos finales. Creo en un ambiente de clase estructurado con expectativas claras para mis estudiantes, pero al final, sé que nos DIVERTIREMOS mucho en el camino.
