Hello and Welcome to Crestview Elementary- National Blue Ribbon School!
My name is Carrie Dixon and I will be your child’s first-grade teacher. I am from the great state of Florida. I graduated from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas with my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I continued my education by getting my Master’s degree in Education with a Specialization in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I have a passion for teaching that started when I was only 5 years old and never wavered. This is my 11th year at Crestview Elementary and my 14th year as a teacher.
In 1st grade, we will be learning how to become good readers and writers. We will also be exploring all the other standard subjects and developing a vast knowledge base. I encourage you to ask your child to "share" what they are learning with you.
