• What is AP?

These are high school courses that offer college-level content and examinations created by College Board. Students with qualifying scores on the exam could earn college credit. AP college credit is recognized by colleges and universities around the world.

According to College Board research, students who complete AP courses are:

    • better prepared academically
    • more likely to specialize in stringent majors
    • more likely to complete more college work in four (4) years
    • found to perform slightly better than peers who did not take AP courses
    • more likely to excercise leadership
    • twice as likely to go to advanced study (Ph.D., medicine, law)

The cost of an AP exam is small compared to the average cost per course in public or private universities. We encourage you to consider enrolling in one or more of the many JISD AP courses which give you an opportunity to pursue college-level studies while still in high school.

野花社区视频 ISD offers a great variety of rigorous Advanced Placement© coursework to challenge our students academically while also giving them the potential to earn college credit.  We prepare students for this challenge starting in Middle School through our honors courses in math, science, social studies and English language arts and reading.  This honors course work is continued in high school to ensure our students have a strong foundation for success in Advanced Placement© coursework.  For AP testing dates, please .

Note: Homeschool students can also take Advanced Placement© exams through 野花社区视频 ISD ().  Please contact the Director of College, Career, and Military Readiness (dholmes@judsonisd.org) to arrange for testing.
